is a program of
the Clean Water
designed to increase
water bottle filling
of the city.
The City of Toronto currently has several hundred water fountains in city parks, but there are ongoing challenges with them and some have to be decommissioned and removed. In main areas of downtown Toronto, meanwhile, there is little or no tap infrastructure.
TorontoOnTap is working with a number of private and public organizations in Toronto to install water bottle filling stations in desirable high-traffic areas throughout the city.
These filling stations will help provide Torontonians easy access to tap water at any time. TorontoOnTap is the first of its kind in Canada and one of only a handful of projects like this globally.
We are pleased to welcome Ryerson University as TorontoOnTap’s first participant. TorontoOnTap officially launched in September 2013 at Ryerson University with the unveiling of our first two water bottle filling station installations.
